The UNESCO World Heritage Site of George Town, Penang, is famed for many things. Many who visit the historical town do so for the street food (regarded as being among the best in South East Asia) or its rich history. But aside from its widely acclaimed food, George Town is also known for its murals. Scattered across town lies some of the best locally inspired murals you will find in Malaysia. These murals offer visitors the opportunity to capture unique photographs during their stay in Penang. But if mural hunting around town is not for you, then maybe Penang’s 3D Trick Art Museum will better suit your needs.
Penang 3D Trick Art Museum
Penang 3D Trick Art Museum is an interactive museum located at Penang Street. What makes this interactive museum unique is their combination of large murals and life-size figures which protrude from walls or floors. Hence, giving murals a 3D effect while appearing real in photographs. Walking through the museum first takes you through scenes of Penang before leading into more fantastic and artistic scenes. Rest assured there are numerous photo opportunities at the museum each offering a unique experience. What more, there is even a scene where you get to be on a flying carpet with P. Ramlee, a famous Malaysian actor in the 50’s.
All in all, the Penang 3D Trick Art Museum is a great place to spend some time with your family and friends. Be sure to not be afraid to break out silly poses, however, as it only improves the photos!
